Congratulations to the 2017 memoryBlue Alumni of the Year – Julianne Sweat!!
In what was one of the best fields we could have ever dreamed of for the third annual competition, Julianne Sweat has been named our 2017 memoryBlue Alumni of the Year. Julianne had a terrific 2016 professionally in her work as a Sales Development Manager at KiteDesk. The voting was tight and each of the three finalists had strong claims on the title, but in the end there can only be one winner. Julianne now takes her place alongside past winners Sohale Razmjou and Taylor Pierce.

Look back at the 2017 Alumni of the Year Finalists
After going through over 50 well-qualified applicants and nominees for the third annual memoryBlue Alumni of the Year Award, we were pleased to announce our finalists below. These three sensational sales professionals blew us away with their accomplishments last year and they simply could not be denied making it in to this highly selective last group.

We were thrilled, but not surprised, at the mind-blowing quantity of applicants and nominees that easily could have made this final list. Matt Bright – Account Executive, Recorded Future
Matt Bright turned in a terrific year in 2016, closing the most business of any rep in his entire company and exceeding his quota by over 120%. He brought in eight new logos to his firm and closed six companies that are in the Forbes Global 200. Matt closed some of the largest accounts in his entire company in 2016, simply put.

Keith Hoffmann – Director of Enterprise-Level Strategic Accounts, ProcessMAP Corporation
Keith Hoffmann blew the doors off his personal and professional goals in 2016. After finishing as the #1 salesperson in his company for each and every single quarter in 2016, Keith was named Salesperson of the Year and earned entry into his firm’s President’s Club. He set new company annual records in terms of total contract value closed and the most net new individual customer accounts closed last year.

Julianne Sweat – Sales Development Manager, KiteDesk
Julianne Sweat was an absolute machine in 2016 – and it’s worth noting that she not only applied for the award herself, but was also nominated by her company’s CEO and CMO. Julianne led all reps in her company last year in terms of total revenue generated, total number of deals closed and new logos brought into the firm. She literally accounted for over 30% of her company’s work in each of those areas despite being on a team with 12 other sales pros. As a result of this amazing work, Julianne was recently elevated to her role as a sales manager within the company.

Selecting a Winner
These terrific finalists all submitted their finalist applications (linked above) and put in significant time getting their answers to reflect their unique styles and personalities. Like past years, we turned to a strong group of professionals to help determine the final winner. Our star judges panel was comprised of highly accomplished inside sales professionals as well as former Alumni of the Year winners (Taylor Pierce and Sohale Razmjou). These individuals have spent their careers furthering the sales industry as well as building bridges between talented college students and the sales profession. The panelists included Trish Bertuzzi (President and Chief Strategist, The Bridge Group), Ralph Barsi (Senior Director, Global Demand Center, ServiceNow) and Nathan Curtis (Division Manager and Training Coordinator, The AroundCampus Group).
The memoryBlue Leadership Team, the staff and even an “at-large” popular vote also shaped the outcome. Thank you to everyone who took part in all phases of this great program. We’re excited to name Julianne as the winner and extremely pumped to see what next year brings. Keep hu$tling, Elephants!!

The memoryBlue Alumni of the Year Award recognizes individuals who have achieved outstanding accomplishments in their high tech sales careers.
2016 Alumni of the Year – Taylor Pierce
Last year, Taylor Pierce bested a field of 30 applicants and two amazing Finalists to become the second winner of our annual Alumni of the Year award. Taylor joins Sohale Razmjou as one of two recipients of our highest honor. The race last year was incredibly close, as all three finalists submitted sensational applications. We heard from numerous people on our judges panel commenting on just how hard the decision was — but in the end, Taylor took home the honor and earned the $5,000 dream vacation on us.
So where did Taylor go for this trip of a lifetime? We’ll let the pictures speak for themselves!

Taylor Pierce – Senior Director of West Coast Sales at Cigital
Taylor led Cigital’s West Coast region to become the highest performing practice across all of his company. Specifically, the following key accomplishments were significant for his business:
- In 2015, he exceeded a “New Business” quota of $3M by 254% (closing over $7.6M of net-new sales) and ultimately closing over $10.5M in total sales for the year.
- He personally developed three enterprise accounts in the Bay Area from under $250,000 to over $1.1M in sales over the course of 1-year (2015) and multiple work streams across various several business units in each firm.
- Taylor was promoted to Senior Director at the end of 2015 as a result of his outstanding performance and demonstrated leadership across the West Coast practice. As a result of the promotion, he is now tasked with managing the largest accounts on the West Coast as well as executing against a plan that targets $22M in total sales for 2016 and a hiring plan of three additional resources.

2015 Alumni Of The Year – Sohale Razmjou
2015 kicked off our inaugural Alumni of the Year. With over 50 amazing applications received, the competition was fierce. In the end, our 2015 award winner was Sohale Razmjou – his accomplishments and incredible success in 2014 made him a clear choice for the prize.
And where did Sohale take his all-expenses-covered vacation after winning the inaugural title? This looks pretty relaxing….
